Music Notes’ Featured Student ✰ We love it when former and graduating students return to Music Notes Academy and fill us in on what they’re doing now. Meet Antoinne.
✰ “My experience with Music Notes Academy was a crucial part of my development as a young musician and future professional in the music and audio industries. I was lucky enough to have in-home guitar lessons. A Music Notes Academy teacher traveled to my home each week, which provided me with the attention and discipline I needed to excel on my instrument. Another great part, was having the option to perform with the Academy’s rock bands. We learned and rehearsed together in Madison, NJ, in Music Notes’ first physical location. The combination of in-home lessons and rock band classes really gave me a music education. The bands honed my ability to play well and sing with other student musicians and gave me the confidence to perform in front of people.”
✰ What you’ve been doing since MNA ✰
✰ “I began producing music using Logic Pro. I’ve also been doing a lot of songwriting, using guitar as my primary songwriting tool. Eventually I decided I needed a better understanding of audio engineering and technology. I enrolled at SAE Institute of Technology in NYC.”
✰ What you’re doing now ✰
✰ “Since graduating from SAE in August 2017, I’ve been doing a lot of freelance music production, recording and mixing for local artists and bands. I’m going to be working with Music Notes Academy on developing a class for students seeking to learn or enhance their skills in audio engineering, DJ techniques and music production.”
✰ What you’re looking to do in the future ✰
✰ “I’d like to work with a Grammy-Winning production. I’d like to work with a high-profile touring band and operate the backline and monitor mixes. I’ve also considered becoming an audio technician and working with Neve consoles.”
