Music Notes News
Welcome to our Music Notes News!
Here you can read about our latest news surrounding Music Notes
Academy. Prior to our News page we used to send out bi-annual
newsletters. However due to our growing Academy, we decided to
go green again and continue our news updates only on our
website, FaceBook and Twitter. We hope you enjoy learning more
about Music Notes Academy.
Our 2010-2011 school year seemed to be our busiest school year
yet - we opened up our first physical school, began performing
concerts at local venues, continued to participate in student music
evaluations, the rock bands recorded their demo in a world-class
recording studio and the rock bands and select students performed
LIVE at the TD Bank Somerset Patriots Base Ball Stadium in
Bridgewater, NJ. Our students performed on our Music Notes
Academy stage and on the baseball field!

Students Perform LIVE at Somerset
Patriots Baseball Stadium
Music Notes Academy's Rock Bands performed LIVE at TD Bank's Somerset Patriots Baseball Stadium on Thursday, June 16, 2011 in
Bridgewater, NJ. Our Modern Rock Band, called Little Victories, and Modern Rock Band All-Stars, called Shel Shock, performed outside
the stadium to a large audience gathering for the stadium's Music Appreciation Night. Each band performed a thirty-minute set and
select students additionally performed solos on the baseball field. This was a great way to end our 2010-2011 school year!
As a part of our Rock Band curriculum, our rock bands record, edit, mix and master a demo in a world-class recording studio at the
end of each school year. The Modern Rock Band All-Stars recorded "Float On" by Modest Mouse this year and experienced a
hands-on approach to the recording process. Students performed to a click-track, overdubbed/multi-tracked additional parts, that
they arranged in their weekly rehearsals/classes with their teacher, and sang harmonies and back-up vocals.
