Creative Arts Therapy · Yoga
Creative Arts Therapists are human service professionals who use arts modalities and creative processes for the purpose of ameliorating disability and illness and optimizing health and wellness. Treatment outcomes include, for example, improving communication and expression, and increasing physical, emotional, cognitive and/or social functioning. There are more than 15,000 Creative Arts Therapists practicing in the United States and around the world. Creative Arts Therapy organizations have been active in this country for over 50 years” (NCAATA, 2014).
The creative process is healing and life enhancing. Through creativity we problem solve, rebuild and reinvent ourselves. The creative process facilitates learning, growth and self-expression through a very primary source deep within each human being. Each person expresses their uniqueness in a different way. Healing Notes acknowledges the individual needs of each client and/or student and aspires to engage them through the creative process, leading them toward self discovery and self affirmation. Through, music, art, dance, movement and drama comes self awareness, self esteem and self development.
Our HealingNotes Therapist, Adrienne Kurzawa, is a Registered and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Licensed Associate Counselor, with Masters degrees in both Creative Arts Therapy and Counseling.
