Our percussion curriculum includes the following areas of study

We offer comprehensive drum and percussion lessons that are
instructed within a curriculum that supports structure, balance and
flexibility for our students. Instructional lessons and content are
delivered through a curriculum which allows for each instructor to
tailor instructional methods towards each student's abilities,
individual musical interests and goals.
This is where it all began, in 1999 - drum lessons in the student's
home. Brandon Kurzawa, Music Notes Academy's Director, started
teaching one drum student and within weeks he was teaching
eighteen students weekly while studying music at Rutgers
University, performing, recording and touring with
singer-songwriters, bands and music producers.

In addition to studying drums and percussion, students will also study music theory and
musicianship skills such as ear training. We also incorporate significant amounts of
performance based repertoire such as ensemble music and performance play-along tracks.
Students will learn how to read music correctly and perform repertoire that is challenging
and exciting. Our drummers study music, not just drums.
