Playing the piano improves coordination and gives young children the opportunity to develop fine and gross motor skills.
Through reading and interpreting piano diagrams, finding the correct finger numbers, and counting beats, young children practice mathematical skills.
Young children refine their reading abilities through interpreting musical notation and using the music alphabet to find the correct piano keys.
Learning to play the piano fosters creativity and self-expression. It provides rewards throughout an entire lifetime and is a valuable outlet for expression feelings.
