Why Is Music Notes Academy A Great Choice For Music Lessons...?
Trial lessons and interviews are available with the Academy Director
Not sure about music lessons with MNA? You can have a trial lesson, meet with Brandon Kurzawa (the
director) or speak with him over the phone for more information. Trial lessons are $40, the phone call is
free!
Student - Teacher matching
You can choose your teacher from our teachers page or we will match you with a qualified teacher. Some
of our teachers have a waiting list for new students.
Qualified and dedicated music instructors
All instructors studied music and have, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in unique areas of study.
Some of us have master's degrees as well and we all work professionally in music, whether it's
performing, teaching, recording, producing or writing.
Comprehensive music lessons in the student's home - the instructor travels to you!
Students and parents avoid driving to locations for music lessons, however students receive all the
benefits of having quality music instruction. Why travel to a music school with small stuffy rooms and poor
sound isolation? You can study at home in your comfortable environment with your own instrument and
still perform on stage in an auditorium for your recitals!
No contracts, only monthly commitments
Certain community schools and music instruction providers require a semester or 26 lesson commitment.
We require that you give us a monthly commitment. In order to maintain quality instructors, we need to
have a small commitment from the students and parents.
Make-up lessons available For student absences and instructor absences
Certain community schools and music instruction providers do not offer make-up lessons anymore. We
do! Students receive 4 make-up lessons per school year.
Annual Student Recitals
Our student recitals take place in an auditorium, on stage with a grand piano! Students receive
performance awards and trophies for their hard work and talents and have a chance to see our bands and
ensembles perform as well! Some schools have recitals in small stuffy rooms or church basements, we
like to have ours on a big stage!
Piano students are eligible for New Jersey Music Educators Association Piano Evaluations
and Auditions
MNA is a member of New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA), The National
Association For Music Education (MENC), The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and The
College Music Society (CMS)
These organizations offer music educators professional development in music education, instruction and
pedagogy.
MNA sells instructional method books, sheet music and instruments
Students and parents do not have to travel to music stores to purchase instructor requested materials,
everything comes to you!
Rock Bands, Jazz Bands & Percussion Ensembles are offered in Madison, NJ at The
Madison Community House
In addition to in-home music lessons, we also offer group classes, ensembles and bands currently on
Saturdays throughout the school year. A great opportunity, we strongly believe that students should also
perform with other students under the guidance of a music teacher in addition to private instruction.
MNA Instructors work with student's school band music and prepare students for
auditions, performances, evaluations and school performance tests.

Music Notes Academy was established in 2000
Brandon Kurzawa began teaching drum lessons in the student's homes in
Bridgewater and Hillsborough, New Jersey. Then we were called Kurzawa
School of Music, not as catchy as Music Notes Academy!
